That’s fascinating. Anyone spending 111k for a pickup truck either has F me money or needs a serious smack in the head

 

I think the raptors look great. Was never interested in buying one though.

 

Never hand over the money until after you have thoroughly inspected the merchandise to your satisfaction.

 

After a lifetime of watching fords fail, I didn’t fall for the raptor hype and a 75-100k price tag.

Folks are selling the 2020 raptors for $110,000 because, well, people are gullible.

 

TFL apparently has had a good year and needed to offload some cash for tax purposes. I know they need to play nice with Ford, but I wouldn’t have given in this early. They should have upped their game with the other brands for a year or so. Or been more creative...handing Ford stupid cash just looks like they are groveling.

 

Great trucks, not worth it for that kind of markup though. Wish they still had the 6.2 in these, not a fan of the ecoboost.

 

Watched that video, and it’s truly amazing the greed these dealers have. I’d be pretty pissed too getting a truck with 1k miles, but he should’ve looked at it in person before buying.

 

Am I the only one who can’t watch this stupid video? I even found it on their site and it wouldn’t play. Tried a VPN. That didn’t help.

 

You’re not missing much. Just dealers ripping people off for a truck that won’t be made for another year....and how his “new” truck has 1300 miles and a broken mirror adjustment switch...and was made in 11/2019.

 

It does have the Drivers Side Grab Handle though.

No comment on Transmission Cooler.

 

Definitely a $40,000 upgrade.

My Toyota dealership did something similar to me to what the Lubbock dealership tried. Advertised a new 2019 Tundra on their website but when I got there to check it out, it was gone. But they sold me a 2020 for what they had the 2019 listed for.

What stood out to me is the stupidity of the buyer... the guy is a dumb ass.

 

The embedded video plays for me. I played it for 3 seconds. Fast forwarded a couple of minutes and played it again for a few seconds having landed on Duuuuuude showing the Autotrader web page in Denver advertising two Raptors for $110,000+. And..................that was enough of that stupid schit.

 

I would be very wary of any new vehicle with any significant mileage on it, especially if it's been on the lot a while based on my experience almost buying a 2018 Sierra in July 2019 that had about 100 km. It had also almost been bought by another guy (stealership said his financing fell through), which is potentially another red flag (though that's how I got my first car, which I've had no issues with). Turns out somebody did $4000 worth of damage to the passenger side of that Sierra and they waited until I was signing paperwork to tell me. I wonder if they'll end up finding something similar on their Raptor. Can't think of any other reason why a popular vehicle like that would sit so long.

 

Technically yes, at least the final payment. But the dealership paid Ford for the truck and Ford makes a crap-ton of money off that truck. Even if they didn’t pay a markup over MSRP it’s a lot of money.

It’s Team You vs them, so I see no reason to make the distinction.

 

I’m thinking Covid kept some people from spending big $$$ on a pickup. IIRC there are limits to mileage on a vehicle being sold as new vs used.

 

My life isn’t any better having watched it.
