I have an 08 Sequoia the color is Timberland Mica. When I got the truck it had pinstripe (the sticker kind) on it. Possibly a factory or dealer option at the time?

I tried to remove it with a heat gun, eraser wheel, 3m adhesive remover etc. I can't get it all off. So now i kinda have pin stripe hear and there. There is one little spot that almost looks like the pin stripe sticker adhesive ate into the paint, is that even possible?

So, I'm looking for some opinions. I think at this point I need to just add a new subtle stipe of some kind. Maybe flat black? What color would work with the timberland mica? Something that won't stand out?

    Thanks guys.

pin stripe probably faded into the paint since it's a 2008. the eraser wheel usually works good

Yeah, I believe it did. I'm thinking a black stripe would look ok to go back over it with? The paint on the truck is in very good shape. I don't really want pinstripe but i guess that's my best option to just go back over where it originally was. Maybe a black pin stripe and black badges would look alright. What do ya'll think?

usually ghost fading because the paint under the strip been protected since 2008 vs UVs on the rest of the paint. I think if you clean up the paint on the SUV and make it shine again, the ghost fading won't be seen that much and with time it will match the rest imo once the sun starts hitting it.

Yeah I compounded and polished, parts of it are ok. But there is one little spot that looks like it went down to the primer when I removed the stripe. I'm just not sure if that's possible for a sticker to do that.

maybe the eraser wheel if you spent too much time on the same spot.
