Engine Over Temperature/comes down within 5 sec of shifting to neutral

    2019 XSP 4x4 5.7 Crew Cab 32000 miles, while driving around 35 mil/hr warning light came on for eng overt temp, the eng temp gauge was all the way up to the red, I immediately shift from driving to neutral, the eng temp gauge went back down to normal within 5 seconds, shift back to driving and keep on going. It has happen 5 times already, replace eng temp sensor after 2nd occasion did not fixed the problem. please help me, if someone has run into this same situation and how to fix it. not code yet either.

    Agree, no reason to try and diagnose/fix yourself. Take it into a dealer for warranty review and repair.

    Sounds like an issue with a temp sensor freaking out once the ecu sees load. Bring it in to the dealer.
