I was excited when my wife was interested in camping, even minimal like a ground tent, shower tent with a 5gal bag and a portable bathroom. It saves us so much money cuz we always go to hotels, but I’m trying to convince her for us to get one of these. Better than an RV because you can go anywhere your vehicle can go, and I don’t have to worry about overloading the truck and adding more mods to the truck. Yea the price is crazy but I think it’s good considering everything you are getting. Anyone have one of these?

I've been using a small offroad trailer for a couple years, and it's been awesome. You can get to much cooler spots than you can with a travel trailer or rv.

I've never messed with a turtleback in person, but the kitchen setup looks like a pain in the ass because you have to close the sink and stove any time you need something out of the drawers.

If you're not dead set on this trailer, check out the Smittybilt Scout. It's not as fancy but still very capable and it's like $25,000 less than a turtleback.

I like Turtlebacks but I find the price to be outrageous.

Great points @helidave, I like that it comes with a huge water tank with hot and cold shower, a good power supply system and I can deal with the kitchen shenanigans you mentioned. @FirstGenVol yea it is steep, but we’ve been good with our finances and would not mind dropping money on something like this. Less stress towing it, can leave it as base camp and I can switch between towing it with my truck or my wife’s suv.
