Warranties probably ball park at 1,200. I was in your shoes. Tundras hold their value and I wanted used to save money but buying new was such a better deal for a few bucks more.

I got a deal on my 13 well equipped SR5 trd 5.7 4x4 DC with 9K on it a year ago. Private party, $28,500 and got 2.8% interest. Dealers wanted $36 for trucks with way more miles. That was a no brainer. But I sure did want that 38 gallon tank. I still think about every time I fill up. First I've heard about keeping 4 gallons in the tank to keep the pump cool. Now I have to stop even sooner? Mine is out of the 3 yr warranty already to. You could get the dealer to certify the 14 and get good warranty that way. $2k more for brand new though, that's a tough choice. They've usually got a lot of mark up on the used ones. Try to get them down on the price by a few grand and certified. If they say they can't certify then there's something not right with the truck. Stay away from it and get the bigger tank.

For what it's worth, I purchased my '17 Limited Crew Max (not 4X4) for $39k. That seems high.

If it helps, I bought my 14' Limited for $34k with 27k miles, delivered from TX to CO. Not sure where you live, but after my wife always having rides with seat warmers and a sunroof - I wanted the same - and I'm really happy with it. When cold, the seat wamers are awesome. As it's warmed up, I love the sunroof option.

These things hold their values well, and from my research - the PRO's/Platinums/ and Limiteds hold their value more so than SR5's. People like goodies. I decided if I ever had a need for more range, I'd pay the $1200 for the Transferflow 48 gal tank. So far, I haven't remotely needed it.

Best wishes, either way you can't go wrong - but based on the above, that Limited seems a bit overpriced.

The small tank was one of the biggest complaints on the earlier models. Toyota listened. I would hate going to the gas station every 4 days if I had the smaller tank.

Go 17 and add Clazzio leather with seat heaters if needed. Katzkin is overpriced.

Don't count the SR5 out, they too hold there value, I got a high price when I traded my 2010 SR5 Tundra in, Its the same exact truck as your minus the sunroof and ass warmer! Us peasants in our SR5 survive especially here in Texas without the seat warmers and the sunroof's in the summers only blow the 100's heat into the truck so, :boink: there,

and that is why i bought this truck. I paid $44,500 for my '17 limited. Resale was important after I sold my '08 750Li for $6,500. Car not even 10 years old with a $100K sticker on it. (Dealer wanted to offer me $1,700 on a trade in, lol)
