Biased Opinon on Tundras?

In this article it does a review on newer model Tundras. Seemed kinda biased to me but wondered if others had any similar issues or complaints.

This reads like copypasta from forum complaints that the author spent 10 seconds researching.

One issue that one user had does make an accurate review. Sample size of one is not reliable or representative.

 

Anyone with a credit card and a GoDaddy account can become an "internet journalist" and put up an opinion.

 

Can’t wait to see what the article looks like when they do the same “report” on Ram/Ford/Chevy.

 

Why do people keep posting "articles" from this motorbiscuit thing? They're a bunch of twits, and they are inconsistent. If it's from motorbiscuit it's not worth the time it takes to read.

 

Do brakes not normally need replaced (or getting close) when you get close to 50K miles? I wouldn't call that abnormal....

Im biased. Love Toyota. Im pretty hard on trucks and (knock on wood) have had the last 3 airborne without much more than oil changes needed. I do wish there was an easier way to unlock the tailgate. Hate taking the key out of the fob. Other than that its a great truck IMO.

Not sure but it was on the home page on the google search page. Thought it was worth the read, but later realized that it was someone bitching about something to bitch at. lmao .

Literally... I've read that kind of report in technology trade updates. "English isn't my first language, and I've never seen the stuff I'm writing about". etc.


If they actually followed the brand, they'd know that the most frustrating thing about the Tundra is that Toyota has been promising a truck with v8 like power and great fuel economy since ~2005.

Most of these reviewers will probably love the other trucks. The focus these days seems to be "new technology" and "gas efficiency" with a kicker of "smooth ride" that basically means unibody over body on frame.

 

That's a pretty lame article. With thousands of Tundra's on the road and those are the biggest complaints? I'll keep mine.

 

Motorbiscuit is the worst auto related site there is.....total CRAP. They post items that are completely false. I have totally blocked them from all my feeds.

Seriously though...granted, if you look at the popular comparison sites, the Tundra appears to come across as 'outdated' and 'slow' and all of that. Technically, it's true, I suppose.

With that said:

1. I mean, reliability is FAR above the others.
2. It may not be the fastest or the most powerful, but it's no slouch.
3. I cannot tell you HOW many people I've had go out of their way to walk up to me in my truck to tell me how much they love my truck.

So, reliability, longevity, and attention....it's kinda hard to go wrong with that.

 

The factory brakes on my 2010 will need replaced at 100,000 miles according to my trusted Mechanic. I have 84,000 miles now. My Tundra has been alright I guess. Seems like there's always something it needs though. Just today, I had to go out and wipe some dust off the engine compartment!
