Folks - the sunroof retracts at a snails pace and, now, it does not have the power to close. I have to help it along by manually pulling it shut.

Anyone had this issue before? I am wondering what is required to fix or, more likely, replace.

    Thanks!

My wife's Sienna sunroof started acting up, however it's the cables on hers, which are much harder to repair. Your's sounds like it's just the motor getting worn out, or the track needs to be greased. If you take the head console down, right under your sunroof controls is where the motor sits. You can remove it and then should be able to manually slide it back and forth, if it moves freely, then the motor needs replacement, $100-$600 depending on where you get it from.

First thing to do is clean and lube the tracks & mechanism. That's likely your only problem.

Google it. There are plenty of good videos.
