    can o6 tundra have a engine swap from a 2000 with out changing the ecm

    Gee wilikers Beav, i'm not sure, but there are some significant differences between the 2 model years. VVT is the first thing that comes to mind. Transmission is another, although that shouldn't make a difference. I would say you'll need the 2000 ECU at the very least.
