I went with dad when he bought it new in '06. He passed last year and I ended up with it. I've owned various cars/trucks through the years and this checks all my current boxes. Only thing I would ask for is more power. Towing or hills seem to be an issue with the factory set-up, especially on cruise.

A couple of things: Sorry about your dad.

Manual says to not tow in Overdrive. I tow in OD on flat terrain. The OD goes off in hills or towing in strong head winds resistance to eliminate the toggling of gears.

Manual says do not tow in CC. This one I abide in. Hills and weighed loads cause the OD to toggle all over the place in CC on flat ground and especially hills.

Another thing many do not know is the manual says to not use CC when coasting down hills. You can feel the transmission spooling in this condition. This one I abide in, as well.

Slow it down or you'll hit it in a couple of years.
But I get it; it's hard to leave it parked. My mileage has snuck up on my truck as well...
