Zero - I tuned the lights off. I don't particularly need strangers coming to my house this year.

Added zero as option. A lot of people were pretty creative with social distancing measures in my neighborhood. Probably more lights off than normal and absolutely nothing wrong with that. We are putting our kids candy in quarantine instead of wiping it all off.

You need a zero category. Our city in California was effectively shut down for Halloween. Governor even set limits on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Public is running around terrified...since March.

    Answer? Zero.

We had some, but nowhere near as many as past years. ~20 or so where in the past, we've had 75-100.

Not sure, since we set bowl out for the self serve option as we went out for awhile. We were driving around a few neighbourhoods and there were more kids out than we've ever seen before. The Woman is saying that the local FB page is confirming people had double and sometimes triple the usual number of kids at the door. Word from friends in other part of the country is telling the same story.

Glad to see people not living in fear for once.

Zero. I had paper bags and candy ready too. To keep kids from digging through a container of candy. Looked out the window and all I saw was a giant ginger cat walking around.

Zero. But my situation is different.

First year in this house. House is on a private street with no public street lights (see: DARK AF) Dead end'ish street and I'm the second to last one. Also the only house that's decorated.

The last few years it was during the World Series and the Doyers were in it. Old neighbor threw a lawn party that sucked all the parents in and their kids. Last year was different and we had a few kids.

    123366885_3715703665108402_1325479403359_0fb60525a955231f194afa862efeae5a87f7628c.jpg

Neighbor informed us today that we will not see any trick or treaters. Would have been nice to know before I bought a 5 pound bag of diabetes.

I hope everyone else had some kids getting some carbohydrates. Some caramel induces comas.

We had many more than we've ever had. Most of the neighbors had tables set up with candy on them and sat back with fire pits and drinks. A large portion of the costumes, parents and kids, had integrated masks in to the theme.

We had about 75; think we had about 50 last year.

But we're on a main drag and we did a fancy setup to keep kids 6 feet from the door (and wore our masks when answering the door). I suspect our lit up candy chute drew some who otherwise wouldn't have stopped. Resized_20201031_205527.jpg

We are always good for between 200-250 each year (very kid filled neighborhood)

This year, I hung some lights at the bottom of the driveway, folding table and spread out the candy.

Sat at the top of the driveway about 30ft away from the table with some music and adult beverages.

We probably had about 150 this year.

Had 0 this year and 2 last year. Kids usually goto the Rich neighborhoods to trick or treat. The only kids you see in my neighborhood are the ones trying to buy some weed.

We had more this year than last, but that's just because last year was cold AF (for this area/time of year). It's been a few years since we've seen trucks full of kids going neighborhood to neighborhood, but that's probably because we've had an explosion of neighborhoods built out here in the last 5 years and they don't need to load up and drive to do it anymore.

We sat out in the driveway with some neighbors like we do every year. Put on facemasks when kids approached to help keep everyone at ease, but I don't think we needed to. Everybody around here is pretty much over the fear mongering and ready to move on. Let's face it, 1) it's never going to be eradicated, and 2) everyone will be exposed at some point, so 3) it doesn't make any damn sense to lock ourselves up in a closet and bankrupt every business. Just like anything else, if you're high risk take extra precautions. If not, go about your life. Nature will do what nature does at this point, humans will naturally adapt and survive, as this virus will also.

Anyway, every single parent that was out with their little ones thanked us for handing out candy and making it fun for their kids.

O for me only because I was out trick or treating with my grandson. Not as many out as last year but still quite a few. Some folks at one house gave my grandson some candy and I got a cup of warm hard cider and a small bottle of hand sanitizer. Kuul....

    Zero.

Outside lights off but we had decided we were NOT opening the door to anyone regardless.

We just went into Critical Code Red in our city for Covid. So we weren't taking any chances. Having heard and seen confirmed cases of people handing out dangerous goods (Fentanyl) to kids last year, we didn't want a prankster ringing and then spitting on us....people are stupid and I'm sure it happened somewhere.
