    Toyo peeps,

I am a total newb to wheels so here we go. Just ordered a pair of OEM steel wheels for my 03 tundra. They are 16x7 wheels. They used tire shop down the street put them on but had to add some "studs" to get the lugs to tighten down. This mean I need to get some offset spacers to flush the lugs out? Or these wheels just won't work? Photos attached.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Derek

I may be wrong, but I think a different style( not mushroom) lug nut will fix that

That's the rabbit hole I've been going down the last hour. It doesn't look like I have and rubbing issues with the control arm but trying to figure out the OEM lug shape and size for the steelies.

Just get some black splined lugs and be done with it.

Those are your oe lug nuts nothing there seems to be added. With the steel wheels there is no pocket for them to sink into like on the alloys so you see the whole lugnut. As long as the seats match the rim which they should it's fine just looks a bit odd. Same thing happens when you use the factory spare tire.

technically you should be using acorn style lugs with steel wheels.. but the shank style ones are designed to be used with steel too for the spare tire... sooo yea?

Yea, the oe lugs still have the acorn seat on them. They just look funny because of the extended base for the alloys.

These are the lug nuts that held my stock steel wheels on. When I picked up a set of starfish wheels locally, the guy included the lugs nuts you have which are meant for the aluminum Toyota wheels.
