Yours is royal and elegant looking. Beautiful. We didn't want any brown. As soon as we saw him with brown we had to have him

Beautiful pup!! I've had a few heelers, currently have a blue heeler/st bernard mix. Super sweet, can sleep all day or hike all day, and is off leash trained. Wayyy to smart for his own good. And he's 80lbs. 4yrs old

My brother had a blue healer/ border collie cross. Great dog but he was prone to bladder stones and infections so it ended up being kinder to put him down when he was still very young.

Hes already herding my other dog on runs. The other dog doesn't like it but chooses to ignore it.

Our main goal is a well behaved dog that is on our adventures. Manners is going to be my biggest concern. Any advice in the realm of manners would be greatly appreciated

Its tough in puppyhood. Mine loved people who were let in to the point of submissive piddle... Then he'd bark if people were to close to the truck or our house. Cats are far game. Doesn't like other dogs and hates ANYTHING walking behind him. Leash training is ok but with so much stimulus he will pull forward every minute or so. Great heal, place, front etc. Teach him to leave it and drop as they eat everything.

One more thing.... Dont expect to do anything alone.... Ever.

Right now I'm running him everyday without a leash hoping he will be leashless but I am going to work on heal and place.

We have a bell i rigged up at the front of the door which we are using for potty training. He is getting the hang of that

Sounds excellent. If he fidgets and won't place or heel properly, lure him with food....
Example. Place food in hand, hold out in front, sweep right leg, loop forward, and his nose will follow. He'll figure out heal means by my left side, etc. Or use a pad.

Really quite excited for the intelligence aspect.

Just found out he's not scared of the vacuum. Doesn't chase it either. It just exist20201027_104132.jpg
