    So I have a question...
I’ve noticed that when I’m on the highway and I get over 70...I’ll hear a noise...almost like a brief, high pitch wail like air has found its way through into the cabin of the truck. It’s very strange. It only does it over 70, and I was able to get it to continue to make the noise while going 80.

I don’t have any loss of power, loss of oil pressure, or anything like that, it’s just an annoying noise...and sometimes it doesn’t happen at all.

    Help

Deteriorated steering shaft seal maybe allowing noises in from the engine bay? Have you checked the seal?

Yeah. Could be those deteriorated rubber flaps vibrating with the air passing over them like a reed on a flute.

Well, I’ve sealed every place I could see on the top side that could be air coming in making the noise. Still got the noise. Guess I need to check underneath and get out that fine toothed comb.
