So due to the whole COVID-19 thing we all got webcams because the boss 'wants to see us' when we do our weekly meeting.

Me: "Cool! Now we just need to sign up for OnlyFans accounts and we'll be set!"

I never turn my webcam on. No one needs to see my ugly mug (or know I'm perusing this site in boring meetings).

I mean, we tried to tell our boss this. I think it's one of those where 'some' are screwing off and it's a response to that. My response was something along the lines of "I mean, if you WANT to look at me for an hour every week, I'm fine with that." LOL

I think this is one of those things that will be used a few times and then sort of fall by the wayside. I've got half a mind to dress up in some outlandish fashion every meeting we have.

I wish I could do this. The president of our company makes us have webcams turned on. Have a meeting this morning that I'm not looking forward to. :help:

We have some kind of team building thing on Friday with the entire technical group at site, which is possibly in excess of 100 people, and we're apparently supposed to wear costumes.

My supervisor tried this the first month of COVID

He got bored real fast watching us stare at our screens with unkempt hair and very casual clothing

I of course worked day 1 in a gas mask and a hoody

Somewhere I've actually got a set of fake lederhosen and a grey felt alpine hat at the house; will probably wear that for the first required meeting with a webcam. LOL

For some reason, this image of you comes to mind “just coming to work prepared for anything boss!”

We got folks who turn their cams on every meeting, I don't need to see you to hear you. I turned my camera around facing the wall and turned it on. Might point it at the dogs on the couch one day.

20201027_093013.jpg It's too bad my Hawaii Five-O sign is too far away to be seen in my camera.

I don’t mix my 2 jobs so I don’t get fired from the one who provides health insurance

I use The Casting Couch as my background. While there are a few reactions, nobody says anything for some reason.

My webcams (work and personal) are built into the laptops. I covered both with electrical tape. A small piece sticky side out to protect the lens (I might actually want to use one of them some day) and another sticky side down to hold it in place.
