Hello and good morning tundra owners, I'm in need of some advice here. I'm currently running a 3-2" leveling kit/lift then put bilstein 5100's all the way around. Also have upper control arms for a 2-4" lift. The problem is that if I have the leveling kit and the shocks set at 2.5" my control arms are at a nasty angle and putting strain on the unibal joint, and the control arms seem maxed out. But if I remove the leveling kit up front and just running the shocks my truck looks as though I'm driving down hill. What's your thoughts here? Advice on how to fix this? I hate the way it's looking right now. Any suggestions or thoughts???

Do you have any pics with the lift and control arm angle? Lots have 5100s and can compare to see if it’s normal. Is the cup installed upside down? I’ve read that’s a common mistake and will give much more lift than it’s supposed to.

Over the weekend I took them off and removed the spacer, ( leveling spacer) because like I said my truck sat high (which was nice) but like it was on full flex. Maxed out on upward travel with no sag whatsoever. So right now it's looking sad with its nose in the dirt. Lol. Did you want to see it as of now or was hoping to see it when the control arms where at its pinned angle?

As mentioned, the spring perch might be upside down.

You said you have the shocks at 2.5" plus the leveling kit? So how much lift are you actually running? Probably in the 4.5-5" range. I'm not surprised the joint is nearly maxed out.

The cup is installed correctly. I don't imagine the spring would seat correctly if it wasn't. It has a grove where it sits into. But yes I have total chaos upper control arms with my 5100's set at 2.5 without the leveling kit at the moment. However I'd like it to sit straight and not like a stink bug.its sad. So what would you suggest? I can't seem to find control arms bigger than 2-4" lifts

What lift do you have in the rear? The reason there aren't control arms for more lift is because there's no down travel left past that point, so there's no reason to have the control arm capable of drooping more. The next highest option is for a drop bracket lift.

It would have been easier to just change the spindles but it's a 4wd. I appreciate all the thoughts I've been given. Just trying to see if I've overlooked something or maybe can go another route.

Yeah you need to buy a 4.5" or 6" bracket lift kit. Or remove the rear lift block.

You can run a spacer or the 5100 shock, not both.

Your problem is the 2" block or whatever you added to the back. If you didnt have that then the truck would sit level with a 2-3" lift in the front.

I figured as much and your absolutely right. It didn't start that way. I started with the leveling kit then the shocks and control arm till things got away from me. Thanks boss
