Am I the only one who can't stop dreaming about Tundra parts/mods?!

Since I bought my Tundra on February 29th, it's like I was infected with something sinister.... There's this voice in my head saying all kinds of things. "Do you really need to eat or have a phone? Wouldn't you rather put a bumper on me?"
Or things like "You could just live in me, why pay rent somewhere else?"

Sooooo needless to say there's a bunch of parts on order and I have no ragrets. Patiently (impatiently) waiting on my SPC ucas, my pro comps, my method wheels, and my remote start gadgets. I'm far too excited and I just needed to put it out there :D:D:D

Side note though: recently encountered some narrow brushy trails, found a cheap hookup on custom pin-stripping. Is that something I can buff out? And has anyone here wrapped their truck before? Pros/cons?

I just bought my Tundra back in August and I have a serious case of the mod bug that just won't go away :rofl:I can't stop thinking about it lol.

My first three are a front grille and bulge replacement, DAP tuning, and the Morimoto xB LED headlight replacement.

    And Welcome from Texas!

I have only had my Tundra for 9 days, so my head is spinning with all the stuff that can be done. This forum is trouble! So many members have really nice trucks, i don't know where to start.

Welcome. This forum will help you spend money you don’t have real quick.

as for the stripes take a few pics and post them over in the detail forums. I’m sure it can be improved no matter what it looks like. Paint protection film is awesome but it can be pricey and you need to make sure that the installer is qualified and experienced. Wraps are the same deal but don’t offer as much protection. Wrap shops can be a nightmare if they don’t know what they are doing they will tear the truck apart and cut material against the paint I’ve seen a lot of bad wrap jobs lately and I feel for the people in that position.

I'll definitely have to check the buy/sell section once my wallet recovers.:lalala:

As for my stripes, they're not that bad. Only a couple faint ones, I was pretty fortunate. My better half hopped out to pull some branches back a few times and I also bent some out of way when possible. I went through the carwash earlier and haven't looked at them since. If they're bad I'll take some pictures.

You need some self control bub. Remember it's just a car.

What I do is put something in my wish list or bookmark it to save it for later. Most of the time I forget about it in a couple days.

I had Tundra for almost 10 years now. I did lift, wheels/tires, stereo system, exhaust, etc years ago. But now with covid and being at home more, I started spending time on the forums and the mod bug hit me again. So now I have different suspension, new side steps. And looking at different wheels also. I'm sure there will be more stuff that I want...I need to stop looking and reading these forums.

Make a list of what you want, and what you think you want - then prioritize the list eliminating those mods that seems less important. Then take your time and have fun modding your truck.

I purchased my 2007 3 years ago, and my prioritized list has become very short... all that's left is to install the Auburn HP LSD, and figure out if the torque converter needs to be replaced or not.

    1) Bought with 225k miles on it, a Westin bullnose bumper, and OEM tundra steps 2) Current Mileage 238k Mods: 1) Dirty Deeds BA Mufflers 8 inch with resonator (as of Feb 2021) - Had the 10 inch with resonator - Prefer the 10 inch without resonator - deeper sound hear it more in the cab 2.) Ranch Hand Summit Front Bumper/Guard 3) Ranch Hand Summit Bumper 4) Billstein 5100s all around 5) TRD front and rear sway bars 6.) Rough Country wheel to wheel steps 7) Pioneer 8400 NEX Wireless ApplePlay 8) Backup Camera: e-raptor 9) LED white lights replaced in headlights, fog lights, inside cabin, and exterior lights 10) Linex (unbranded by Central Texas Truck Coatings) 11) OEM Toyota side panels and generic panel on tailgate Maintenance/Repairs: 1) Valve covers, belt tensioner, alternator belt - $415 2) Evaporation fuel canister and filter replacment $1547 *This was a Toyota TSB for 07-08 AFAIK. Toyota covered in first 3 years of ownership. Mine failed after 13 years of daily regular driving use. Not bad at all. 3) Pioneer Unit - had to ship to Pioneer to replace Output IC - $45 (shipping) free under 1 year warranty fix 4) Pioneer Unit - Electrical feed back coming through speakers when accelerating. Fix was to check all wiring/tighten up/ make connections good again $42. 5.) Rear passenger door actuator replaced. Part was $287 with tax on ebay from Toyota dealer free shipping. 6.) Rack and Pinion, tow mirrors, shocks install, lifetime alignment - $1884.36
What Rex said. I've got a baby coming in 2 weeks so I was able to convince the wife to be good with me getting a Ranch Hand Summit series full bumper/guard and rear bumper for safety and protection.

Started off with getting a Weather tech mats, seat covers, a Pioneer 8400 NEX apple car play head unit a year ago. This year just recently got the bed sprayed down, looking for a camper shell, and some steel step rails with three steps each.
As politicians say never let a good "crisis" go to waste! :dancingbacon:

I can't disagree with the self control bit, but trust me I am holding back. As much as I'd like to do ALL THE THINGS, reality is just some wheels and tires and the ucas to fix my caster. My current street tires are getting extremely worn out on the outsides, and with winter approaching here I do need it to be ready for the snow. The only other things I'll pick up within the next couple months will probably be floor mats and better seat covers, but we'll see. Should probably pay it off first. :censored:

    Congrats on the baby @tundraatx!!

Bought a buffer and some Meguiars polish for the sagebrush pinstripes. Just go easy and you’ll be amazed at what buffs out.
