Wondering what the recommended oil would be for a 180,000 mile 4.7l v-8 in a 2006 tundra? Wondering if Toyota recommends a specific brand, and I know I will go the synthetic route.

This should cover it for most answers you will get here shortly.

Go to https://pqia.org/ . This independent organization verifies whether motor oil passes specifications printed on the label. Any 5w-30 oil with SN or SN+ rating on their list of meeting specs will work great in your 4.7L. Don't get hung up on brands. No proof one brand is better than the other. Sticking to recommended oil change intervals is the MOST important factor.
