Another what is it question

What is this cap on the headliner on the driver's side? There isn't anything like it on the passenger side. Is it a plug just hiding a hole that would normally be an option of some sort?
I can't seem to find anything about it in the owner's manual or in the shop manual.

I would probably guess that it also works like a fart vent. It'll really be usable after a super jumbo three cheese and fried bean burrito.

I was getting ready to search for that thread. Was thinking it was going to be a bitch to find. How in the world did you find it?

 

It took about 10 minutes. But I had beer to entertain me. I clicked on watched threads, after about 13 pages I found it

 

It's a big plastic nothing.

 

It's filled with helium and keeps the roof from falling on your head.

 

Microphone slot if equipped. Plugged if not.

 

Yeah, not only is it a non-reusable part, it's down right useless.

 

I'm wondering to myself if a passenger side assist grip would fit on the driver side...

 

Yeah, but there's only one attaching point. There should be another on if you wanted to use a grab handle. I kind of think the grab handle on the driver's side is kind of useless too. It cuts into some of the view of the road from that side.

 

There could be an attachment point under the headliner... I've never had one out though, I hear that they can be a bother.

 

I just noticed that on the driver side, there isn't a recessed area formed into the headliner either.
