At 600 miles, I changed my oil and installed a Fumoto valve F103N. Now I’m looking at skid plates. I planned on going with RCI, as I had their aluminum skid on my 4Runner and really liked the protection while off roading and the ease of oil changes.

Their Tundra front skid has a little cutout on the side under the oil drain plug. While this is great if you are using your drain plug, it is a gap in the armor for those of us who have Fumoto valves on our trucks.

So, now I’m leaning toward the CBI skid as it covers the drain plug area. A small removable plate makes for easy drain plug access.

Any experience with the CBI skid?
Has anyone had any clearance issues with the longer Fumoto valves and their skids?

If you have the longer valve, is there room to rotate it in a direction that let's it drain properly if you attach a hose to direct the oil into a container.
