I have an excellent Pioneer with Nav that I just pulled out of my 2013 2 weeks ago before I sold the truck. It has the dash kit with it.

Go here if you want to to get all the stuff like todays vehicles have. You can add more if you want. When I was looking for a unit to get gps, android auto, back up cam, and other things the unit I liked was a Sony, but it was 700 bucks. So now I'm looking at Pheniox. I'm waiting for black friday to see if they have a sell.

The Sony XAV-AX8000 is pretty nice. No nave but it has Android auto which works fine for navigation. 20200707_121859.jpg 20200718_184515.jpg

markg that is the correct phoenix unit. Various people have them and it really brings a new look to the truck. Plus, I like the fact it turns the a/c and heated seats to touch screen. If you are looking at getting one I would wait to see if they have a sell soon. Like I said, I was looking at a new Sony unit, but for about the same price I think the phoenix unit looks more updated and nice. You can also look at rhino I believe, but I heard that the phoenix ones are better.

Checkout crutchfield, they’ll let you know what will fit. I’ll be installing an 8”, waiting to see Black Friday deals.

I got a Pioneer DMH-1500NEX from Crutchfield recently, and the Maestro integration, so it works with the factory controls. Has Carplay and Android, back up camera, etc. The integration stuff cost almost as much as the head unit.

What is funny about that is the Land Cruiser crowd I just came from complains about not being able to replace the head unit easily BECAUSE of the integrated climate controls. Lots of those people would kill for a manual climate control system.

Just about any brand will fit all years. Members on here have had great luck with known brands; Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc.
Crutchfield.com is a great resource for researching and shopping.

I have a few old Pioneer in my 07 that works great. The extra watts from the aftermarket units give you more sound too. Added a reverse camera as well.

+1 Crutchfield is an excellent resource for finding exactly what you need, including everything for proper fitment. I have a really nice Kenwood that was installed in the truck when I bought it this spring, however, my only complaint is that I can't get the screen to dim enough for my liking. I would look into which unit can dim the most, because at night even on the lowest setting my screen is blinding!
