I’ve had two of these incidents in the last 100 miles. There is no open recall, truck is stock, 18k miles. It doesn’t actually brake just the loud warning for a second. Both times there was nothing in front of the truck. Anyone else have these experiences?

Was it raining or is the sensor area dirty?

I had a recall on the sensor they just fixed it and did the recall on my fuel pump at the same time.

Mine will do that with shadows on the ground every once in a while. The sensor thinks something there and has an aneurysm.
My 2018 did the same thing, these systems aren’t perfect. :notsure:

I’ve had two recalls / software updates, one in ‘18 and one in ‘19. I didn’t get the fuel pump recall, my dad did on his ‘19. Is that just ‘19 model year? Or maybe it’s just the trucks with the big tank?

mines an 18 just got a notice on it last week about the fuel pump and when I called my dealer for the 15,000 mile service they told me they wanted to do all the recall work I dropped it off yesterday they gave me a Highlander for a loaner they called me later in the afternoon and told me they needed to keep it overnight because it needed a new sensor and it hadn’t come in yet. Called me this afternoon all work was done. I personally wasn’t going to worry about the sensor because I’ve never had any problems but I figured to get it all done now. Dealer told me today when I picked the truck up that every sensor they have fixed so far that they’ve never had anyone return so time will tell.

I’m curious about this fuel pump problem. Do you have the big tank? Has anyone with the small tank had this recall?

Huh, ok, they say I have no open recalls. I’ve heard of these issues with ‘19 models but haven’t experienced them myself.
