Folks, I’m wanting to add a remote start but wondering what my options are?
Can anyone chime in and let me know?
    Thanks

Should be able to get it from the dealer. My 2015 had toyota remote start (prior owner had it installed), had to push the lock button on the remote 3 times then hold.

I would only get dealer installed remote start or none at all. To many issues with after market ones.

Total chaos UCAs, fox shocks, Yakima racks, metal sliding tonau cover, leather seats, blackout interior kit, debadged, CMC for larger tires.
Only crappy thing about the factory remote starter is the vehicle dies when you unlock the door. Safety feature built into the starter.

Also only runs for 10 minutes and shuts off.

I dont understand this neither...kinda stupid and pointless...

My Honda's remote start stayed on...when you jump in, it asks to push the pushstart again and its looking to detect the key...seems like a simple solution, dont know what Toyota was thinking when they did that...lol

Are you able to use your factory key fob? Don't really want to have an aftermarket key fob.

Yes - you can use the factory fob.

I have 12 Volt Solutions auto start. Had no problems with install. Uses my key fob. Have had it for the life of my truck. It was my first upgrade. Truck runs for 15 minutes or so (sorry never timed it) It runs with the doors open. It has a anti theft...Doors auto lock, step on the brake without the key in the ignition it kills the truck. It was all plug and play, been very happy with it.
