Found a cheap 2008 Toyota Sequoia/Tundra head unit (HU) with navigation and camera. Has anyone put a second gen HU into a first gen?

I'm no expert, but if I had to guess it wouldn't fit without extensive modification to the bezel around the radio.

The sides of that HU look rounded, and the face appears curved also. Ours are much more square looking, and flat.

Not to mention that the mounting points on that radio are completely different from 1st gen HU. I don't see any bolt holes on the top to mount it. Looks like it just clips in?

Be a lot of work to make it fit. - not worth it
Look in my build thread in Tacomaworld if you want to see what a 2019 Toyota 86 radio is like. Toyota sells the harnesses to make everything work for the swap. Same dimensions of a 2003-06 radio (00-02 will need an 03 bezel to fit the radio)

If you want to use OEM radio, I'd try empty_lord's idea. Otherwise, go aftermarket with any number of double din touchscreen headunits. Easier install for sure.

How does this do if you don't have steering wheel controls, or care about them?

you just get the adpater harnesses so you can have a working mic for the bluetooth and plug it all in.

I believe it’s in the page with all the info in a picture. At work right now, I can dig it up later
