Why has Toyota (for years) avoided LED turn signals?

The post title speaks for itself. Do any of their current vehicles have LED signals?

Because it is easier and cheaper to do it yourself?
That way when one does bad, you don't have to replace the entire assembly..

Easier? I disagree, as they are already there when you purchase the vehicle. Cheaper? Possibly, but theoretically, LEDS last virtually forever.

 They haven’t ran out of incandescent stock yet...

Probably the same reason they got rid of the transmission cooler rather than spending the money on engineering a new one. Pennies..

It only took 3 posts for the transmission cooler to get brought up... your welcome.

LOL, except that this is true on all of their vehicles.

Wife's RAV has LED headlight and halogen fog.

More profit and use up old stock.

Do you think the new Supra is a reskined BMW chassis because Toyota thought it was superior to something they could design or because it would save them money?

Toyota has a reputation of building quality vehicles at a good price so people don’t expect the latest and greatest on every vehicle, that’s why across their whole line up you can find things that would be so easy for Toyota to upgrade but they don’t. They only update things that are necessary. That’s why we have had to wait 15 years for a new tundra to be released.
