Been trying find out the differences between the off road tundras and non trd besides suspensions. Basically looking for used 3rd gen trd off road But mainly finding non trd in my area. Any reason I couldn’t put trd suspension on regular tundra or should just buy parts not trd branded?

You can put any aftermarket suspension on any of the optioned Tundras.

Check the suspension section but I believe most folks would say if you want to upgrade suspension anyway, you may as well buy a base Tundra because you can get something better for less than a TRD OR would cost you. 20200926_123721.jpg 20200926_123739.jpg

TRD off road package has the off road tuned shocks, 18 inch wheels, skid plates and AT tires.

The regular Tundras do not have skid plates and have the typical black toyota shock that is tuned for a soft ride.

But if you are planning on making changes, purchasing any tundra will work fine as you will be replacing suspension or swapping in other parts you want.

Ditto. I went with the Platinum and added my own suspension - never looked back.

I bought the TRD because it replaced an FX4 which replaced another FX4. I have a thing for fender stickers I guess

The delima is I want to trade in my F250 for a tundra as my needs have changed. I want a solid medium use, occasional beach osv on the eastern shore. But can handle rougher terrain on occasion. My wife has a 2007 Tundra TRD Off Road that needs new shocks etc. The dealership does not have anything worthy to replace the old shocks. I do not want to lower the ride as what they have says it does. Bacially I would like to beef up the suspension close as possible to new. I do not have tools or a garage. So I am dependend on a shop. So I have two seperate things going on. Is there any reason a 3rd gen Tundra shocks not fit a 2007? I honestly do not know and am new at this.
