Hey folks. I just finished installing my Diamondback HD. As a result, I'm selling my UC Flex for a Crewmax. Before posting on CL or FB I figured I offer someone on here first shot.

It was on for 5 years and is definitely not brand new. It still looks pretty damn good for its age and does what it's supposed to. All of the rubber seals and such are good. I'm including all hardware for installing WITH a bedrail...brackets, knobs, rails, drain tubes, etc. I would recommend adding some new weather stripping to the rails that attach to the inside of the bed. You'd need approximately 11 ft.

As you will see in one of the pics, only one support pole can attach. The other "ball" anchoring point is no longer attached. No damage, just don't know where the heck it went. I have hauled MANY highway trips propped with only one pole...no issues.

$175 local pick up in SE PA. Collegeville area.

I’ll cover shipping and throw in an extra $20 for your trouble, if you’re willing to ship it to Missouri

That's a tough one. The cover is quite heavy. Finding a way to box and protect it would be difficult. Sorry, brother, I think that one is a no go.

See first line in OP...Diamondback. All I can say is...DAMN, it's pretty amazing! I did the install solo. Easily doable but would have been easier for adjustments with another set of hands.

Thanks for the bump on this. I agree, based on the cost for new...which seems to have increased exponentially...this is a really fair price. I always offer my forum members a discounted price as compared to posting locally.

I loved having the cover but went with the DB HD ATV to haul my machine on top and still have bed storage.

For what it's worth, I also have the OEM skid plate for free if someone needs one. I'm waiting on my RCI.

I may be interested, and I'm close by in Abington. How easy is it to remove the whole unit? And if done, does the rail protrude above the bed rails at all? I have a toolbox I sometimes swap out with my current soft tri-fold tonneau cover and I'm just wondering if it'll work. Any chance you could DM some closer shots of the rail system? Thanks.

I'd recommend taking a peek at the pics again. You can get a good looks at the rail and level as it sits both closed and open. Even better, here's an install video on the same cover in a Crewmax. It walks you though the whole process which will help you see that it is also very easy to remove. You will only need to remove the forward most knobs near the cab. The rails which are secured with aluminum brackets can remain in place with the cover off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXh8NKLeOBo

Yeah I went back and looked closer, and incidentally watched that exact video after asking you about it. I think it may work just fine. Only one last question, and this may be tough because you already took it off the truck, but I'm wondering what the measurement is between the new rails, just to ensure the box could fit in-between once I remove the cover.

Sorry for the annoying questions. I just tend to switch back and forth between a cover and tool box depending on what I'm doing.

They are already off.. Each rail is just shy of 2". I'd account for 4" total because as noted in my post. I recommend new weather stripping on the back side of each. So, add 4" to the inside opening of your bed where the box will go. 20201022_153820.jpg
