Pro grill garnish

So just got my pro grill in today and realized it didn’t come with the garnish . It’s going on my 2017 1794 so I don’t have the Front sensors that go in the grill . I am starting to realize that no one makes a cover that matches the grill well enough to not be noticed ! Kinda irritated . Do they make a 19 pro grill without the sensor hole ? Or maybe a garnish that matches the grill better than what I am finding !

 

Going to be NO on both fronts. It's hard to say what would "match" better than what's out there. Could go solid black acrylic but that is going to still be noticeable. What you really want is an insert that looks like what is missing, some actual Grill material and I've not seen that. Maybe find some throwaway insert and fashion your own mini grille to go in the hole?

 

To answer your questions, no and no. Since the 2019+ Pros all have the sensor there is no reason for them to manufacture it without the sensor hole. But I fully agree with you that the existing garnishments are pretty weak and don't blend well to the grille. Since all the grilles have the same garnish, I say just buy one from ebay that will be affordable and accept that that's how the Pro grille will look.

 

I thought about buying one and maybe cutting out the stuff I don’t need on it with a dremel lol but maybe I just need to except it and move on . I can tell myself my truck is a 2019 from now on !

I just bought my 2019 pro grille and after spending hours searching I havent found one that's not so noticeable for a decent price, ares does make a decent one but I ended up just going with a cheap one from eBay and hoping to make it look better sooner or later

 

Can you post pictures of what the eBay one looks like?

Seen you post this once before, pretty much convinced me to get the 2019 pro grill over the original one. Haha

 

here's my cover, might be the same one as the one from eBay above I can't tell, think I got it for around $30 and it looks good enough for me

 

obviously has a plastic covering on it just waiting on my grille to come in to take it off

 

looks exactly like the one I got from eBay, box and all. My grille is being painted this week so hoping like you that it works. It is intriguing to me that the Tacoma has basically the same thing and searching for it's generic garnish you can find them with tons of feedback that it works.

 

I bought the one off eBay as well . Put it on this weekend . It’s ok I guess . For 30 bucks . Hope someday someone comes out with something not so noticeable !

 

I just got the same one(presumably) from eBay. Though it was $25. My question is are the OEM covers also gray? I don’t understand why they make the honeycomb gray on the actual garnish.

 

Been using Ares Customs one for my 2018 (which is functional TSS) and so far looks good with no issues.

 

Are the older pro grills not available anymore? Wondering why anyone with a Tundra without the sensors would get the newer one. The old ones look way better anyway.
