Leaking coolant, not sure where.....

I changed my oil the other day, and noticed the coolant was low (a little below cool) in the reservoir. I filled it up and drove it 50 miles and noticed the coolant level dropped back to the same place. I did notice some red residue noted in the pics below. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. Thats what I saw, too. I was kind of wondering if it was the fan displacing it there? I can't catch it leaking?

 

I have just recently dealt with coolant leaks, first from a cracked radiator, second from my water pump. Based on the spillage, I'd say its the water pump. IF you take off the skid plate you should be able to better determine where it's coming from as well. Also have a shop run a pressure test for you to find any other leaks (hope there isn't any).

I had a similar leak that presented like your picture. I changed out the water pump plus the thermostat since I was doing it all anyway. Seems to have fixed it with a couple hundred miles now.

 

It could also be something as simple as a hose into the throttle body leaking. I'd pull that TB cover and check there first. Always start with the simple things.

 

Looks like its coming from the O-Ring coming off from the T-Stat pipe. Second thought, I think you are correct.

 

there is a stain on the intake, obviously coming from lower. how can you possibly know with the palastic cover on the throttle body? there is what, 10 coolant connections below that distributed by fan and drive speed airflow?
