SC Package

Guys quick question. I’m looking at a 20 CM SR5 with the SX package. Now according to Toyota’s build page the SX package is really just a cosmetic package- Black wheels,no badging, color matched bumpers etc. Now the one I’m looking at has bucket seats and the only way I know how to get front buckets is to add the SR5 upgraded package. Now the window sticker doesn't mention anything about the SR5 upgrade nor does it show this anywhere on Toyota's build page as being a part of the SX package. Just curious if you have any input as I really want the 38gal fuel tank. Thanks !

What is SX package? From Toyota.com, Build and Price:

SX Package — Upgrades standard wheels to 18-in. split 5-spoke black alloy wheels; 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat; 4-way adjustable front passenger seat; adds color-keyed exterior styling (front bumper endcaps, grille surround and rear bumper) and removes all exterior badging; deletes rear under-seat storage compartment

Bucket seats are implied by the adjustment descriptions. The SX package may get you bucket seats (verify with dealer), but doubtful on the 38 gallon tank. The 38 gallon fuel tank is added by SR5 Leather package, as well as SR5 Upgrade package, and maybe others: https://www.toyota.com/tundra/features/packages/8261/8272/8275

 

Yes thanks I did indeed read the descriptions for every package on the SR5 trim. I was just confused as I thought the only way obtain bucket seats in the SR5 trim was to add the SR5 Upgrade package. I will verify with the dealer(who usually is somewhat clueless) about the 38gal tank.

 

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe you do need to add the SR5 package in order to get the bucket seats. The SX package doesn’t provide bucket seats. You can view the configuration when you build the truck on Toyota’s website. Just click the interior pictures to see what gets added when you select certain packages

 

I believe Toyota’s build site is sometimes wonky to say the least. I can verify even though your correct you can’t do it on the site that I just went and saw it in person and it indeed does have bucket seats but no mention of the fuel tank size. Also for a quick reference on the Toyota’s build page you are not able to add the TRD Package to any DC LB yet I’ve already seen (2) of them for sale that has the TRD package.

If you don't want the SR5 Upgrade package, then add the SR5 Leather package. I didn't know you could get leather in an SR5. The bad news probably is the leather option in an SR5 is probably not the same choice skins you get in higher trim levels.

 

Did u ever get an answer to your question? I have the same curiosity. The sx package doesn't mention the SR5 upgrade package however ive watched several dealer videos where they say the SX has the 38 gallon tank
