    Hey There!

I have a 2011 Toyota Tundra. Over the last week I have noticed that there is an oil type substance in front of the engine right next to the hood latch. I dont see any of this oil in the engine compartment. Any idea what may be causing this?

    Thank you!

Someone peed on your truck yo

Clear/yellow-ish, could be power steering fluid leaking. Check the cooler lines.

That’s a weird spot for fluid, but it looks like there is some splashing on the right plastic piece that directs airflow. Just to the right of the horn in the pic. Check all your fluids and if they are good clean it off and see if it comes back.

Is Freon yellow? The splashing is right by the ac hoses. That could be it.

Washer fluid leak? What color is your washer fluid? If the hose from reservoir has a leak/ bad connector near the windshield, it could follow the passenger side of fender down to the front top of bumper if parked downhill facing?

Why not leave the hood up, start the engine, turn on AC, wriggle the steering wheel, and watch..........

Check your A/C. Freon has oil in it. It keeps your compressor lubricated I have done heating and air for 27 years, so if your AC is not working IT could have a small leak. that’s a pretty big one that’s a lot of oil, if it gets low it has a low pressure switch in it, On your compressor of course, it will not let it come on. But all Freon does have a oil in it.
