I have a 2020 Tundra trd sport , i have not noticed any drivers side lean , even with full tank. I measured even with stock shocks and with the 5100 . Did they correct the problem or am i one of the lucky ones, LOL???

I guess we’re both lucky. I haven’t noticed any of the problems that are common here, tundra lean, cam tower leak, diff leak, etc.

I have a passenger side lean of .375" on 2021 Tundra limited with full tank of gas. So measuring from ground to fender it is .375" higher on driver. The reason I noticed was putting a badge on my car and used a level to get straight and determined the car wasnt level even though I was on flat concrete. So I measued my 4runner it was .40" lower on driver side, my lexus was .25" higher on driver side. Would have never noticed if I hadnt used a tape measure. Who cares, drives runs perfect. These are mass produced vehicles.

Use a tape measure i doubt it perfect side to side.

I’d rather just keep believing my truck’s pretty much perfect. If I notice one thing then I may notice another and in short order I’ll become an anal nut bag cursing Toyota because they can’t make perfect vehicles.

Yes, there was not even a 1/8" difference between full and empty on the measurements.

Again if i didn't have a level to install the 4x4 badge Toyota forgot I would have never ever noticed, now that i know I look for it BUT 99% of roads and parking lots aren't flat anyways so who cares...

it usually shows when you swap suspension b/c Toyota slightly correct it on the oem components. I believe there is a different spring rate on left vs right side. when you switch over to aftermarket suspension, you need to do the correction yourself so usually more pre-load on driver side coil over

Ah this would make sense. I just installed my 6112s and notice the lean... what is the best correction and is there any damage to be done driving around with a slight lean?

No issue driving with the lean. You could get a shim and add it just to the drivers side.

Ugh how much of a pain in the arse is that install compared to the coilover itself? Maybe it’s something I do when I am ready for new tires and another alignment

Correct path forward is do nothing. There isn't a road you drive on that is level.

It sits on top of the coilovers. I think it’s fairly easy and you don’t have to remove the coilovers from the truck to do it. But maybe see if there is a video about it to be sure if you’re considering it.

anytime you change the suspension geometry, alignement is recommended.
I would add the shims on top of the bilsteins then get it aligned.

It's not bad to install the shims. My father in law and I knocked out both sides in about 2 hours the other day. Not sure if you'd absolutely need an alignment for the half inch correction, but it's recommended for sure.

You do have to remove the coilover assembly, but you don't have to mess with the LCA cam bolts or anything like when you did the lift.

Yea not sure , they put the bilstein 5100 but I guess using the stock springs Maybe that’s why it’s still level

yes that would be why. I used to have pro comp at the front (yeah I know) and at the time 4WP re-used the toyota springs, I had no lean. As soon as I installed King coil overs I had a pretty good lean. Ended up pre -loading few more turns on driver side and now it's back to "normal".

i measured my 2017 4Runner limited again. It has the exact amount of lean as the 2021 Tundra. Driver side 3/8" higher (never noticed until i measured). So I crawl under it and similar to Tundra gas tank and battery on driver side. In addition Tundra needs person to drive so add 175lbs. The shocking finding was the frame on the 4runner was enclosed box and appeared to 1/4". Frame on Tundra is open and 3/16". I guess that why the Tundra rides better, frame flexes acts as suspension component.
