    I have a 2005 Toyota tundra four-wheel-drive

I did a 3.5" lift on the front and a 3" on the rear. Can I run stock shocks or do I have to put longer shocks and struts? If so, can anybody give me a recommendation how much bigger they have to be?

Don't think you can run stock on 3" rear lift. I have a 1" and my stocks seem rougher since day 1.

I'd definitely get some aftermarket. You should see what range they work from the shock's description page.

If you got spacers then you will find a difference with your ride.

I installed 6 inches kit on my 08, and had to replace the front struts. The trucks ten times better. Call the manufacturer to find out if they have a strut set Gl

Pretty sure you're gonna need longer shocks.

With 3" lift in the back you'll need shocks that are 3" longer. Stock shocks will be fully extended long before your axle is at full droop. Which can rip the shock in half. What kind of lift do you have in the front? 3.5" is a lot on 1st gens without changing a lot. I had adjustable Fabtech/fox on my 2000 at 2.5" there was next to no downtravel left. Bad for your truck and dangerous, even just on the road. Above coilover spacers would be about the same. In coil spacers increase the preload and can over extend the shock. They will also push the control arms beyond there limit. The only safe way to lift your 1st gen is with a drop bracket and spindle lift. In which case whether or not you need longer shocks depends on what lift you have and what you plan on doing with your truck.

This. They're not going to be long enough.
