I found this hanging under the steering wheel of my 2020 Crewmax. I traced it to the rear of the OBD port. Looks like a red and black wire are going into the port. Anybody E4EA0B42-DE70-4725-80C9-CEDC21E63C74.jpg know what this is and if I am ok to remove it

Maybe some kind of GPS tracking? More and deakerships installing.

Possibly part of a remote start?

Try Disconnect, go for s test drive and see if everything works.

well it shouldn't cause any problems cause you can see whatever is wired in there isnt connected to anything. There is a plug that connects to some sort of module but it isn't connected to anything.

There are only two wires? what wires are the red and black connected to in the OBD harness? Would give an idea of what its for. Whatever it is, its something the dealer installed and pulled before sale.

Yes, looks like maybe some kind of gps tracking. But it doesn't look like anything is connected on the other end of harness.

    Did you buy it new?
Between the fuse holder and the empty white zipties up and to the right that looks like some aftermarket stuff you've got going on.
As @Trooper2 stated maybe part of a remote start or alarm harness.

Don't most of the insurance GPS trackers just plug into the OBD port?

    And welcome to the forum.

Take it back to the dealer and make them explain and remove it.

    Welcome from NY.
I would definitely bring it back to the dealer and let them tell you what it is and have them remove it.

what's with the 2 zip ties? Could it be a module that the harness plugged into? It was removed, yet leaving the harness behind. Seems like a half-azz job.
