Is it worth it to just paint the chrome off or buy OEM part. The brown OEM parts for the 2017 are pretty pricey. Opinions?

Painting the chrome will not work. Most shops won't even think about doing it. Even if you tried, you would end up spending as much money as you would if you bought OEM parts. I tried painting the grill surround on my 2013 and after a lot of sanding, the paint still spiderwebbed.
