    Hey all.

I need to get new U-bolts for my springs.
I got a set of Sumo Springs to install, and from the looks of it I expect to have to cut off the factory U-bolts. Toyota replacements seem ridiculously expensive, so I’m looking aftermarket.
Anything specific I should be looking for, any particular brands that are better regarded, or just check with places like Napa, or maybe Princess Auto?
    I saw these looking around,

I’m not actually sure what length I need for a factory setup- I could get out an measure mine :)

    Thanks for any advice.

Not sure about your options over the border but the local truck shops around here will cut/make you new U-bolts to your size and spec. Might be worth calling around and seeing if that is an option. Otherwise, Napa has always been my go to.

Cool, thanks for the input. Sounds like there’s nothing too unique going on here, I should be able to find something locally that’ll do.

How much was your Toyota parts asking for new u bolts?

Your link isn’t that far off from A little over $100 for 4 from Toyota parts when I looked

could also buy longer bolts and cut down to your length:

About $40 something each, although I’ve now found them available for around $20 online, which isn’t bad.
I might just get what I can locally though so I can get it done sooner.

    Removed lots of rust.
    RockAuto.com has them if you need 6 1/2 or 7 1/2 length

Assume you are from Pender Island?
My Aunt has a place out there that I used to visit as a child. Many fond memories :)
Nothing to add other then the local spring shop in Calgary made mine for my Gen1 in like an hour. Around $100 i think?
Cuting the old ones off with a recip. Saw is probably the safest bet as they “pop” pretty good when they let go.

Hey, yup, out on Pender. It’s a nice place to be for sure. There are a surprising number of FGTs here too :)

Not sure if Wheelers Off Road would hurt on shipping to Canada hut I think they're $27 a set there.
