Should print up some waiver forms and have them sign before attempting to help out.

I do fear being sued when helping out. Usually leave it to the professionals who carry insurance. Will offer to make a phone call for them but nowadays everyone has a phone already.

There is a traction control button.
On my 2015 it was next to the tow/haul button. On 2020 is next to the charging ports.

I love winter driving. Good thing, too, because we get winter for about 6 months of the year here. I enjoy pushing the limits of my truck and its tires and what they can do.

I run Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2's in the winter. I have them mounted on a separate set of steelies so I can switch them on and off myself every fall and spring. A dedicated winter tires makes a HUGE difference not only in deep snow, but also on the hardpacked snow/ice that covers our road four months out of the year. While All Terrains like the BFG AT2 work well in deep snow, they fall flat on their face on hardpack and icy conditions. My Blizzaks work very well in all winter conditions, not just deep snow.

I always make the stuck person attach the tow strap to their vehicle and tell them what I plan to do. I have also declined a couple of times because I felt the risk of damage was too high.

I generally agree that it shouldn’t be this way. But imagine your daughter gets stuck and some yahoo that doesn’t know what he/she is doing and straps to the bumper, pulling the bumper off and launching it into oncoming traffic. They damaged your daughter’s car, another car driving along which also crashed as a result and injured the occupants. That yahoo could and should be held liable for his/her actions. Which means all of us are held accountable for our actions regardless of good intentions. As I stated, I don’t like it either, but it holds people accountable for what they do.

I had Blizzacks on a Camry I owned about a decade or more ago, and they were phenomenal!! Made the Camry seem like it had AWD!

I'm clinching up to see how the stock Michelins perform here in NJ. Time and road will tell.
