Installed Redarc trailer brake controller. I am not happy with the location. I am still wanting to switck center diff lock switch with this. AutoLSD and center lock should be together and tow haul abs brake controller together.

I need to make a pigtail extension for it first.

Reroute the wiring for the center diff lock next to auto lsd and moved Redarc remote switch next to tow haul. Now everything is where they belong in my opinion.

Fantastic work, but what's all the doo-hickeys over by the switch you moved?

Our 2008 SR5 Sequoia has none of that! Just a little useless cubby thing.

I had a couple of extra Platinum badges delivered today. Going to see what works best for blacking them out since Mrs.Machine won’t let me just get rid of them.

She made some decals for the Pro letters this morning. Still a work in progress, but pretty danged good for doing it from scratch.

Can't wait to see the progress. I want a "TRD Platinum" if I can make etch the plastic chrome without melting it.

I have a Platinum with rear air ride suspension rather than coil springs. Also, AVS (Active valaved suspension aka,, electrically controled dampers) shock for sport/normal/comfort settings.

AVS is currently disabled since i upgraded/ downgraded my shocks with Bilstein 5100 to achieve front lift. I'll order another set of AVS this week and Dobinson front springs to match.

Well, I was going to add ALL of this.
    20200928_030350.jpg
    20200928_041641.jpg
    No more fans! :D
After mounting the drivers side without washer to see if the tint was too dark, here was the result.
    20200928_031607.jpg
Too much light output lost for my taste.
Went back in with the OEM housings that are sun scorched.
    20200928_033313.jpg
Above is the passengers side headlight removed so I could access everything. Also shown is my attempt at led turn signals which work, but I don't like how I made them work. Anyone got any suggestions on how to remedy this?
    20200928_032347.jpg 20200928_032412.jpg
Ended up having to clock the passengers side low beam. Other than that it was all plug, and play.

Here is the headlight kit I ordered.
    Link.

Anyone have any "dark" headlight suggestions, but with a clear lens?

Anyone have any suggestions on the turn signal leds?

After some extensive big gurlling I found a set of housings I'm gonna try.
    Link.
And some "canbus error free" 1157s I found.
    Link.
Before you all say the bulbs are 3157s. They are originally. I converted the sockets to these to retain the parking light feature.
    90075-99106 Signal Lamp Bulb Socket

The main reason I converted is on my '02 once I went to 3157 turn signals I lost the parking light feature. I assume this is the same due to the CK wiring of the socket.

    Me too! :drool::popcorn:

Thanks! I think it made a big difference. We didn't bother with swapping the TPMS sensors. I was going to do it myself, but i never really found a good thread on it.

My TPMS was from a 2020 and was not compatible. I don't want to fork out another $240 for it to be replaced.

Bummer. I don't feel like forking out out that sorta money to turn a dash light off either.

All three drivers here know what a low tire looks/feels like. Lol

    So the install begins again...
    20201003_053650.jpg20201003_053547.jpg20201003_074343.jpg20201003_074422.jpg20201003_074409.jpg
Had to do some minor tweaking on the new headlight housings I linked earlier to get the headlight washers to fit, and to get the two top tabs on. Other than that, it being dark, and 36°F I didn't really struggle with this.

Here is a shot of the door projector if anyone is curious from the pic above.
    20201003_074454.jpg

I will need to adjust the headlight beams up/down on the drivers side. Anyone have any advice for that?

I've never adjusted an internal mechanism like these before. My 1st gen is easy, just tedious. Lol

I will keep you posted. I did felt s extra power when I had it on performance. I am on regular tune with economy mode. I want to see if I can average 14-16 mpg like my 2020. So far low 14's, I'll be happy if it plays around 14-15 mpg.

Had some glitches with the BDGT not updating the software. In stuck in the 100A vs 1009. I kept on getting 172/175 too rich reading. I un-installed it completely for my trip up to Canada pulling my loaded camper up the mountainous highways.

Fully loaded Sequoia with 6+k in tow average 9 mpg on 93 octane was not as bad it i would have thought. I always forget to switch on the tow haul button every after stops. From time to time, I see 10mpg, but manual calculations puts me to 8.7mpg.

I will call BD today and find out if they manage to fix the update issues.

Installed Dasaita PX6 flush mount. I still have some tweaking to do.

1.) Make tap to the backup camera wires to make oem camera work.

2.) Figure out when I do not have rear channels.

    3.) Add front camera.

    4.) Upgrade rear camera.

5.) Add selection switch for camper rear view camera when backing up with a camper.

So far the is ok. I just have to figure out a few things and see what other parts I need. The bad part about it is. I'm limited on what I can get here in Canada. :( And I'm not used to paying for shipping.
