    Hey guys,

So I have an engine light, and when I hooked up my code reader, it spit out P0441 and P0455 which is evaporative emissions control system incorrect purge flow / eec system leak detected gross leak.

Based off of my research the eec is just taking vapors from the gas tank and passing it through a charcoal filter and then sending it back to the intake for recirculation.

I took the little solenoid valve off of the top of the engine that feeds the intake, and tested it with a 9v battery. It works fine. Before I go under the truck and start ripping shit off the gas tank, I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or knows what might be causing this gross leak/error code.

    Thanks in advance!

i do. i think i probably knicked an oring swapping the tank back when the 38 gallon tanks anti roll valve stuck. haven't dealt with it since the house i'm in is not conducive to working on vehicles.

I have the same two codes popping up on mine today. 2008 SR5 TRD 5.7 with 95000, just for the record. I may just replace the charcoal canister if the CEL comes back on. I cleared it just to see if it was some weird random occurrence. The only other time the CEL ever came on it went directly into limp mode, it was an air pump and luckily it was under warranty. If and when I get an answer to this I'll post it here if you're still fighting with yours.
