Hello, I have a 2014 Tundra, with the tow haul package on it. I pull a trailer that weighs 6880 Lbs. The tongue weight is 700 Lbs. I have been pulling this trailer for 4 years now. In the last 2 years, the trailer is getting lower and lower, meaning the springs keep going down on the truck. I want to put new springs on the truck, but I am not sure what kind, size, rating I should buy. I have found several types. Does anyone have any suggestions on brand, pound rating? I went to a place that does just spring and such, they want to put 2 new leafs in each side of the existing spring, and charge me $1,000. I have found heavy-duty springs for $220 each, and my local garage will put them on for $250. Saving some money. Again what kind of springs should I buy? Thank everyone in advance for your suggestions.

I have talked to other people, and they seem to think that I should put in airbags. Anybody here have an opinion on that?

Welcome - I have heard great things about Alcan. They will build custom to your needs based on load etc. I think they run about $800/pair but everyone seems to agree they are worth the $.

Have you thought about airbags with cradles? I am definitely no way the towing expert here, but think if you tow a lot, those could really help you out.

I have read multiple threads in which @ColoradoTJ seems to be a very knowledgeable in regards to towing and towing set ups.

    best of luck!

I’ve purchased some Alcan springs in the past. Worth every penny.
