Anyone have experience with KW coilovers for there car? Looking at getting KW street comfort coilovers for my Audi A3 TDI.

KW is good. I was debating between KW V3 and AST 5100s. I went with the AST, but the KW cars I rode in were nice too. Just wanted more auto-x/track performance so I went AST.

I been reading reviews on Streep comfort, some people have complained of the rear sagging after a year. But you only hear the bad more often than good. I am looking at Bilstein as well.
Did the car with KW have a nice feel or bouncy and firm? I know ride and feel is subjective. I am not looking for track suspension.

I mean, the bounciness is a direct result of the valving quality. You can have really stiff springs and have it ride firm with no bounce and have it feel confident and amazing. This is why I went with the AST. I got heavier springs than most people run and it rode better than their shitty BC setups with softer springs. Yes, setups like that will still jar you with larger bumps, but what won't. What are you looking for? I think KW V3s are a good balance between performance and comfort as far as coilovers. It will ride firmer with coilovers. Period.

If you want more comfort, go with a spring and strut vs a coilover. Yeah, you don't get the bling or adjustability, but you'll get more comfort while increasing the performance.

IMO, bagovers with quality bodies are the best for comfort and cruising.

Looking for some good performance and comfort, that where I thought KW street comforts come in. Definitely sounds like a firmer ride. The roads are fairly smooth in the Summer months, but become a broken snow floor in the winter. Need a good spring and strut set up. Koni make a good spring and strut kit?
KW setup be to harsh for a broken snow floor?

You'll never get luxury ride quality with performance suspension. Even the KW street comfort will increase the harshness. Koni makes good shocks. You might be able to get the Koni adjustables. That will allow you to firm up the damping in the summer and relax it some in the winter. I haven't tried the Street Comfort unfortunately. The sag in the rear is from the springs. You can always get new springs. I was rocking Swift springs and helpers on my ASTs.

What you're asking is pretty subjective. I'm much more tolerant of firm suspensions (as long as the valving can control the wheel travel) than most. I LOATHE cheap coilovers.

You're not looking at cheap stuff, so that's a great start. No matter what you go with, you'll be firming up the ride, but you'll have the valving to control the wheel travel and that's what's important; that's what will keep your wheels on the ground and the chassis from bouncing.

You seem quite concerned with comfort, so my advice is to skip the coilovers and go with a strut and spring due to the inherently performance oriented nature of coilovers.

More research I've done the more I might go with coilovers. I know they will ride a bit firmer than OEM but the benefits beat out the negatives. I hear KW recommended setting provides the best ride. It will drop the car 20mm or 3/4" which is as low as I feel comfortable to go. I live in snow country and don't want a snow plow. I am currently running Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ and they have increased the handling performance immensely, I can only imagine what a set of KW will do.

Do it. You'll love the performance out of KW coilovers.
