I got burned once and i'll never go to a chain tire shop again. Their bread and butter are changing 195's on beaters. There's a lot less to screw up with those. Give them something that requires actual thinking like mounting a 10 ply tire or aligning a lifted truck and their brains implode. I only go to off road shops now for my tire mounting and alignments. Costs more but worth it to talk to someone that knows what theyre doing. Lifted trucks require much more attention to detail with alignments especially, you can't just hope its "in the green" and assume that's a proper alignment with modified suspension and tires.

@300BLK I completely agree on the alignment, I pay double at an off road shop because to me an extra $60 to keep my $1300 tires is cheap insurance. I haven't found a regular alignment shop that could do mine right, they all hit the toe and send it.

I've argued with a shop because they said camber and caster are not adjustable on my truck. I told them how to do it, they didn't believe me. The cost was $60, I grabbed my keys and slapped a $20 on the counter. Told them be happy to get a 3rd of the payment for doing a 3rd of the job.

Honestly, that’s exactly what it is. They gave me a good deal (well, it started off as $450 off list price but I digress) so I didn’t want to be a burden.
