Can anyone give me any input on preference of dash installation kit for a second gen truck and why? I've looked at Metra and American International for my '11 DC and in just looking at the two, the AI kit looks like it may have a better set of side mounting brackets? I just want something that fits nice, looks nice, and isn't flimsy. Planning on installing a double DIN with CarPlay, XM, backup cam, etc. TIA.

I have a scosche dash kit with my Alpine Halo9

It's been great. I really like having the extra storage pocket underneath the unit too

I also have a scosche in my Honda and it's been great too. Was easy to install both with their respective units

Thanks for the input. I've used their stuff before but had kind of forgotten about them. I looked them up and got the dash kit and the wiring harness at a pretty decent price. Now I just need a deal on a head unit!:fingerscrossed:
