    Hello everyone
Hopefully this fall I will have enough time and money to get myself a set of the Bilstein 6112 coil overs for the front and 5100 on the rear of my truck. I have been watching videos and reading on the process for changing these but I wanted to ask what the experts think.

First I am leaning towards ordering the already assembled set. Have them set them at the 1.9 which I believe will level the front of my 2011. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Second, I have seen some videos where guys have loosened the bolts to the lower control arm, removed the stabilizer link and then removed the two lower bolts on the steering knuckle. They then removed the old coil over and slide in the new one. Has anyone tried this method? Is it a bad idea or not? Or is it better to remove the top control arm bolt, stabilizer and tie rod ends?

Thanks for all your help you all have really great.

Yes 1.9” is about level. It’ll sit like a Pro from the factory. I think most instructions say to do it like you said, but there’s more than 1 way to do it. Maybe watch a video and see what looks easiest for the tools you have available. I had a shop do mine. Install and alignment was under $500 I think. Don’t remember exactly.

    Alot of them
Do it as you mentioned with loosening the lower control arm bolts. They are tight....I used a piece of chain link fence pole as a breaker bar. It will allow the LCA to drop down low enough for the install. Makes life alot easier. Don't forget your alignment. Hit me up if you have any questions. Many of us have done this ourselves.
