Figured I'd share the head-unit upgrade I did on my 2007 Tundra a couple years ago so I would be able to have Nav running on the display and gaining a rear-view camera that is actually usable. Bought the trim from Crutchfield with the glossy finish. USB cable to connect your phone and drops through a hole in the top of one of the small openings below where the AUX, so the cable coming out doesn't have an ugly exit hole visible. Makes backing up a snap because the screen has plenty of detail.

My vehicle didn't come with a backup camera, so I found one on Ebay that is built into the tailgate handle and it looks just like the OEM one from the model year.

I couldn't find a USB connection that would fit in the blank spot next to the AUX port to make it look cleaner.

And if you choose to have one of these systems installed, have the installer connect the power for the backup camera to be always on, instead of only powered when the truck is in reverse. That way you can check in on what you have hooked up while you're rolling down the road.

** Pictures of the backup camera output on the head unit included a couple posts down **

Thanks. Forgot to mention that the microphone that comes with the head unit is a tiny external mic that seems to work fine, but I don't like the spot that it mounts on the left A pillar corner only because it juts out and doesn't look factory clean. If I had known about that, I would have researched how to tie the head-unit in to the factor mic in the center of the A-pillar up top, beside the sunglasses holder.

The big silver button on the head unit cues up Siri to make calls and adjust navigation directions. Siri seems to get more and more useful in knowing what you're asking it to do, especially with Navigation stuff.

Keeps the hands off the phone while it sits in the slot beside the shifter. Seems like that slot was designed for holding phones while they're charging. Only thing I don't like about that slot is the gap on the right that can swallow small items under the cupholders.

I wonder why we can't take advantage of the built in mic. Is that a headunit issue or a Maestro issue?

I'm not sure since the shop did the install. I would assume that there is a connection to the stock radio that takes the factory mic input but that the adapter harness didn't include it for some reason. That or the installer installed the included microphone because it came in the box and blocked the input from the factory mic.

The included mic seems pretty good so it may be better than the OEM one.
