    Hi -

So I just got a 2001 4x4 4.7L access cab tundra at an auction and am getting it safe and part of that is new meats.

Does anyone have any good strategies for getting decent new/used tires for older tundras?

I'm not in a position to spend a grand on tires and this truck is sitting on 4 sizes right now, and two leak.

I've checked craigslist and haven't yet called any used tires shops but don't really know how to tell a tire in good shape vs one thats bad. Other than weird wear and inside sidewall consistency.

I searched but didn't see any posts about this.

    Thanks

Search Craigslist and local Facebook market listing for new take-off in the size & brand you want.

Keep an eye out on this forum as well. Many times members will sell their stock wheels and tires for good prices.

What size wheels? Look for vehicles that have that wheel/tire size compatible with your truck, and find some local facebook groups to join and look for some stock takeoffs

Hi- They are 16's and aftermarket wheels so I'm not sure of the width/offset/backspacing.

Thanks for the recommendations about tacoma pull offs. There's lots of good options it seems on craigslist
