Hello new on this forum. I have a 2014 Tundra sr5 4x4 and bought some bilsteins 6112/5100 and asked a buddy to use his spring compressor, he finger tightened the top nut when we had it compressed, I was holding the top with vise grips and he started tightened it and dam he stripped the nut and the top 2 threads of the shock, im pissed. So question did you guys have issues with the top nut? looks oval and if i can use the ones on my stock struts on my truck? And see if it can form the threads back on the shaft? Thanks
