Got my tundra transfer case in today. I'll be driving it in front wheel drive mode for a couple weeks to really test out that transfer case. It was pretty simple and I replaced both the transmission output shaft and the transfer case input shaft oil seals. I really hope I didn't botch the oil seal install.

I wouldn't even know I'm driving front wheel drive only. It's smoovv but I have another damn exhaust leak from those jba header gaskets. I think I'm just gonna shmear a load of gasket maker in the spots I think the leak(s) is/are coming from.

Let me know if you're looking for an 05-07 Sequoia locking transfer case (left) I'll basically give this one away! It's got fresh full synthetic gear oil and I'm like 75 % sure it's been rebuilt.

Oh wow that is absolutely beautiful!!! To be honest, I didn't even know the gen 1 Tundra's came with a dark interior as I have only seen the brown/beige leather, and a gray cloth.

50x100ft pole barn is the goal next year on the property. That should cover everything. Tall ceilings with a loft above with basic bedroom and shit so I can stay there. Then storage in another part. I want a functional shop.

Did a test run with an overnight camping stop and a visit to Max Patch this morning. We realized there is no possible way the 4 of us can live in my truck for any extended period of time. My dogs are just too big and my wife is a side sleeper. Even with 4" memory foam she got zero sleep. She actually got up around 0300 and slept on my front bench seat.

We found a great new campground though and Max Patch is amazing. If you are ever in Western NC you have to visit it.

Not sure about an AC can but I put a double high air mattress in my DC bed and it was amazing. Might not have the height though in a AC.

Hey need a little help. Seems the new leaf spring center pin is about an 1/8 taller than stock. I have an 1/8 gap between axel and leaf...is this bad news...can I just trim down the center pin head?

Having never done this before and not knowing what the pin looks like other than through that gap in your picture, I’d say grind it down unless it has a flat rivet to hold the leafs in place? U-bolts would hold it in place regardless?

Is it actually bottoming out or is it just not dropping all the way in the spring perch? It may just be hung up a little and need some persuasion.

I "romanced" off roughly a 1/8 off the backside of the pin and rolled the edges with the grinder. Then I "massaged" it from the top to fit down in the perch hole. I'll post up pics of the new leafs and billies when done. These hd springs are pretty stout from ATS.

Also I'm excited to get the other side done to see what it gave me height wise

I did go with white, but it had been so long since I did the 194 backlights that I forgot what color temperature I used on those. I installed the 74, Natural 4000K, but after the first night of driving I realized I'd messed up.

The 194s are the 6500K Cool white...

    Whoops.

am I the only one who has trouble reading the dip stick? I dump and fill with 6.25qt , check and it reads like it still needs a full quart. I put 6.5 all together but the dip stick reads like I need 7.

We typically use an air mattress in our tent when we go that route. I suppose we could try that in the bed but I'm not sure how much headroom we'd have left. I may bust it out tomorrow.

Ya, Im going to let it sit for a few hours and check in later. I mean when I emptied it, it filled about 6.1 empty containers but before i changed it I was at the half on the dip stick. I mean I put 6.5qts so Im not worried, Just curious if im doing somthing wrong. I also changed the filter

Ive seen threads on tundrasolutions where people say the reading is weird and they dump 7qts in to get a full reading, but last time I did that I way over filled it and had to take out oil.

I usually dump in 6.5 and have to add a little more later.

Maybe the filters have gotten alittle bigger since 06?
