Read through all sorts of posts online and tried :
    - Disconnecting battery (much longer than 10 minutes) and doing re-initialization as per manual with key at ON = no help.
    - A couple of times got it closed by pushing button a little at a time and eventually getting it to cinch shut but that trick no longer works.
    - Track was clear of debris and had no old caked up grease but wiped them down anyhow and will re-grease
    - Seems like motor runs fine so switch and fuses probably ok, it just doesn’t close all the way
    - Just bought it used and no warranty (which they always seem to find a way not to cover any issue anyhow)

    Here's what happens -
    1. Open moonroof all the way, deflector is up
    2. Push Close button, deflector goes down and a second later, moonroof starts to move (shut) but then stops and goes back to fully open
    3. Can make many tiny taps on Close button and roof closes until only half-open, then that button won’t do anything else
    4. Make many tiny taps on Up button and roof inches along until about 80% closed. No button will make it close any more. Do not hear any clicks, motor turning, nothing.
    5. The Open/Close button does not do anything at this point but can use tiny taps on Down button to make roof inch back to fully open or push the Down button and it will slide all the way back to fully open.

So, watched from above and here is how I think it is supposed to work and it does on the driver’s side
    - The black arm slides along the channel when the moonroof is opening and closing
    - That same arm has a plastic peg that inserts itself into the slot when the roof is tilted up

On the passenger side, the arm is a little bent or out of adjustment and pops out of channel. I can eek it slowly and get it to pop back into the channel or slot when needed but still moonroof refuses to budge the last 20% to close completely.
    - Holding the wind deflector down manually makes no difference. It still only closes 80%
    - Disconnecting battery and doing re-initialization doesn’t help even after put black arm back in track
    - Same behavior whether truck is running or with key at ON

    1. Any advice on how to get the moonroof to close to keep rain, bugs, and very skinny people from accessing the truck from the moonroof?

    2. Any advice on how to fix the problem? I could forego the open function ; tilt only would be fine at this point.

But I really like the roof for fresh air (when I want it, not permanently open) and chose the CrewMax over the Double Cab (which would have made more sense for me) because of the sunroof :<

    Thanks !
