Does anyone know if the hub assembly on the same model year FJ Cruiser/Tacoma can be interchanged with the Tundra. I KNOW that the bolt pattern is different (6lug on 139.1 vs 5lug on 150.0) but that is the point. Will the spindles and axle nuts and other things match up?

just looking at spline counts for the axles into the hubs. the answer is no. don't know what the bolt patterns are on the hub to knuckle. but if the Tundra splines don't fit the knuckle its already a bust.

My question is................Why? I guess I need some education on this one. Don't know much about an FJ Cruiser.

    Great info, thank you
    NueveTundra.

I prefer the 6 lug pattern to the 5 lug especially up here where the snow and cold likes to break things. The FJ and the Taco have been sporting 6 lug 139mm with little problems and greater wheel selections.

    Just a personal preference,
    FWD Tundra.

The 4Runner/Tacoma/FJ Cruiser share a platform. The Tundra/Land Cruiser share a platform. I don't know that much beyond the door handles that might be interchangeable. The Tundra stuff is going to be stronger than the Tacoma stuff you're looking at, regardless of lug count. There's a thread on this somewhere, but my lunch break is over. :sandwich:

I'm with you on that. I can't see the advantage. Ah what do I know I needed to be educated on this anyway. If the 4R the Taco and the FJ are not a half ton vehicle I'm thinking that there is no point, just frustration.

Ya, it is kind of cool that the things which are interchangeable between some models are though. Oh, I forgot to add the Sequoia to the Tundra/Land Cruiser grouping.
