Hello I have a 2011 sr5 not trd tundra with a 4.6 4x4..... I’m interested in knowing if and what I need to install front and rear sway bar. I want to keep stock suspension and tire size just feel like it leans in cornering too much. Thanks

Your truck already has an excellent sway bar on the front, look at Hellwig and TRD for a rear bar.

Also new shocks. If your shocks are original, they are past their lifespan for sure

Nope only thing that wore out was the cv boot had a crack in it and was throwing grease.

I installed the TRD rear sway bar a couple of weeks ago. Took me about an hour. Helps to have an extra set of hands. Made a noticeable difference in my ride. I highly recommend it.

Can you please give some feedback what the improvement is. I am thinking about install a set of swaybar right after I purchase a Tundra. Still undecided between a stock sr5 with some upgrade packages or Limited trim.

Reduces body roll. A Limited is just a more expensive SR5 with leather, parking sensors, and different wheels.

Like Tundra234 said, it really helped eliminate body roll. Now when I take a turn, the truck doesn't "lean" if that makes sense. Truck feels much tighter and I'm not throwing my wife against the door when I make a sharp turn! Best $200 mod you can do. A close second was putting bilstein 4600''s on the front and back,

What does bilstein 4600 do? Softer ride in general for "on road" normal daily drive,?

trd offroad has them. They are firmer than oe black shocks. Well known for being a great replacement for people who just want A good product, but not wildly upGrading

What do you suggest for front shocks that is extra nice and soft (better than oe) but do not require mod

Hbjeff nailed it. I had a 2012 DC which had the TRD package, rode great. My new to me 2017 1794 edition didn't, so I upgraded to the Bilstein 4600. My truck rides firmer with the 4600's. I can feel a big difference. Doesn't feel "floaty" at all.

Dealer installed TRD dual exhaust system and tonneau cover. Personally installed TRD Pro grille and surround, side mirror caps, and TRD shifter.
So, with the TRD Off-Road is a sway bar still necessary? I see everyone putting them on. I don’t seem to feel the body roll everyone mentions, but maybe the higher ply tires help with that.

Probably a stupid question, but I have a 2020 Crew Max XSP, basically SR5 with some upgrades. I put a readylift 3/1 with 33x12.50-20. Would I get any benefit from a rear sway bar?

It's never necessary, but would improve street manners, specifically cornering. I don't think tires affect body roll.

Less body roll in on-street driving.

I had a 2012 DC with the TRD package. Bought it new and drove it for 8 years. Never felt like I needed a sway bar in that truck. My new to me 2017 1794 edition is obviously a CM and no TRD off road package. I noticed quite a difference with "body roll". So, I added the rear sway bar and it felt much better. I recently installed Bilstein 4600's in front and rear. My truck now feels and rides better than my 2012 that had the TRD package. But I don't know if the difference is because I went from a DC to a CM or because I had the TRD in the 2012 and not in the 2017.

Stiffer shocks will help with body roll as well. OE black shocks are very soft, so they dip hard in corners.

If you're not an avid off roader then the rear TRD sway bar is one of the best, if not thee best, $200 mods you can do. It is mega giggle factor going around an interstate clover leaf on ramp and looking in the mirror seeing the likes of BMW's being left far behind. :transformer:

You can't replace them without pulling the suspension apart. You will also need an alignment. As far as direct replacements, Bilsteins are popular.

THx all! Looks like it will be one of my next mods.
